Searchable id: yorba-bug-707
Original author: Allison Barlow
Original description:
It'd be nice to open a single photo from a camera import page, do some edits, and then save to disk, all without importing to the library.
Currently, this can be done if one navigates to the file in nautilus, but not directly from shotwell.

I think this is well beyond the scope of Shotwell today. We may eventually get there via some other open ideas (e.g. #2232).
