Description
When photos internal timestamps is changed by a different software, Shotwell will overwrite those data with its internal ones.
Steps to reproduce:
- Set the "Write data, tags, and other metadata..." option to "checked"
- Import some photos with Shotwell
- Close Shotwell
- Open a different application to edit photos (eg Digikam)
- Change the time stamps of those photos, put it 6 hours earlier (e.g. from 17:00 to 11:00)
- Make sure you write the info to the photos with the other software
- Reopen Shotwell (Shotwell will now say in the progress bar that it's writing metadata to the photos)
- Check with eog or another software the timestamp of the photo.
Expected result:
- The timestamp of the photo is 6 hours back in time (in the above example: 11:00)
Actual result:
- The timestamp of the photo is the one when the photo was first imported in shotwell
