In shotwell 0.14.1 the action "Send To" ignores orientation of photos, so portrait oriented photos attached to the crated email are rotated by 90 degree in landscape orientation. In shotwell 0.11 the photos in the email was oriented like in shotwell.

I can't reproduce this. When I send a rotated image in Shotwell, it arrives rotated. Can you be more specific in the steps to reproduce?

Maybe it is a problem in thunderbird. If shotwell 0.11 sends a photo via email, thunderbird (even current version) shows the photo using the correct orientation. But if shotwell 0.14.1 sends a photo, thunderbird shows wrong orientation, but claws mail shows the correct orientation.

If you save the photo and open it with eog or another photo viewer, does it display correctly?

Yes, other photo viewers like eog and geeqie shows the photo correctly orientated.
