Original description:
I have a photo /home/me/photo.jpg that I have previouly imported to shotwell.
I add a comment to photo like this (I guess other way are possible too):
exiv2 -v -M"set Iptc.Application2.Caption comment" /home/me/photo.jpg"
The comment gets shown in Shotwell.
If I modify the date with either (or all three at the same time)
exiv2 -v -M"set Exif.Image.DateTime 2009:12:21 03:25:56 /home/me/photo.jpg"
exiv2 -v -M"set Exif.Photo.DateTimeDigitized 2009:12:21 03:25:56 /home/me/photo.jpg"
exiv2 -v -M"set Exif.Photo.DateTimeOriginal 2009:12:21 03:25:56 /home/me/photo.jpg"
It does not get picked up. This is inconsistent. Ideally, Shotwell would pickup change of date as well.
