Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/7636
Searchable id: yorba-bug-7636
Original author: Colin Law
Original description:
Using 0.15.0 on Ubuntu Saucy. To replicate:
Import a photo from a camera, do not delete it from the camera (have not tested it importing from folder).
Delete the photo in Shotwell, but do not move it to trash. The photo appears in the shotwell bin.
Re-import the file from the camera.
The photo disappears from the bin, and two files exist in the pictures folder,
<filename>
.jpg and <filename>
_1.jpg
It appears that shotwell has forgotten about the original file and there seems no way to move it to the trash bin other than manually deleting it using the file manager.
Deleting the second file in Shotwell and emptying the bin gets rid of the second file, but the original remains.
