Is it possible your home directory is out of free space?

no, I still have 85 gigs of free space left in my home directory

What's happening is, SQLite is issuing a database error when Shotwell attempts to update it. We've seen this kind of fatal error in the past associated with either low disk space or a corrupt database file. The latter doesn't seem to be the problem, so I'm wondered if it was the former.
Does Shotwell hang on the same photo/video each time? Does it happen immediately or after some time?

I don't think it's everytime the same picture or video, as after multiple restarts of shotwell, more pictures are added and my collection will finally get imported. I just never managed to get my collection imported in one time without shotwell crashing, it always happens in 4-5 times..

Although not the same stack trace, this looks related to #5071 (closed).
