Original Redmine bug id: 7661
Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/7661
Searchable id: yorba-bug-7661
Original author: Ren é Seindal
Original description:
I have a tag for the photographer which in my case is "By René Seindal".
If I make a saved search asking for tag is exactly "By René Seindal" it finds nothing.
If I select the tag in the sidebar, I see all the photos I've taken.
Now, if I search for tag is exactly "By Rene Seindal" (without the accent which is, however, a part of my name), shotwell finds the photos.

When comparing tags and the search string, shotwell removes accents from the tag but not from the search string. Patch attached. Now René and Rene both match Rene and René. This is how this is usually done in search, e.g. Gnome Contacts.
