Hi, I think it would be much nicer, if you add some threshold for sidebar, so I can hide and show it just by dragging.

Ok, something to consider. It would be nicer (and easier) if this was a feature of GtkPaned (I don't believe it is, but I haven't looked at it in a while) rather than handrolling a solution.
