The edit title dialog (the one invoked by the F2 key) is so tiny that it's a nightmare to edit anything there. What's worse it's not resizable. See the attached screenshot.

Makes dialogue boxes (titles & tags) re-sizable, so that if a user wants lots of tags or a long title that works ok. Not sure if we still want something like sizing the window larger in the first place if a photo has a long title.

It would be nice to grow the window as text is entered, if you mean that by "sizing the window larger in the first place if a photo has a long title." At least I would definitely prefer if I were always able to see all of the text I entered. It would save me a lot of maximizing, I imagine.

Most GNOME apps with such a field don't work the way you describe, Tomas. I feel Shotwell should present a reasonably-sized text entry field and allow the user to resize the dialog if they want to see more. Wordwrap and scrollbars will take care of the rest.
Lucas, please review!

Oh yeah, you are right, I just tried and other dialogs do not do that. I thought it was common as it would seem logical to me.
What about remembering the size of the dialog or having a its default size stored in gconf so that it can be changed by willing user (I am asking because I use title for description in Facebook and often I have description several sentences long)? But everything is better than unresizable dialog in the first place.
