Searchable id: yorba-bug-6102
Original author: Dominik Reusser
Original description:
After upgrading from shotwell 0.12.something (the version shipped by ubuntu) to 0.13.1 (the version distributed by yorba) thumbnails are not available when starting shotwell with an external private data directory
shotwell -d =/media/fotodb
shotwell complains about missing thumbnails in the ~/.cache/shotwell directory on the terminal and in the log file.
When copying the thumbnails from /media/fotodb/thumbs to ~/.cache/shotwell/thumbs the problem can be circumvented.
Is it safe to create a symbolic link from ~/.cache/shotwell/thumbs to /media/fotodb/thumbs until the problem has been resolved?
