Original description:
I have a large folder with ~35,000 photos. When I open Shotwell, it updates library every time, and it takes about 10 minutes! In preferences, I have the box "Watch library directory for new files" unchecked.
I have the newest version of Shotwell 0.13.1, and the issues was was also happening in the older versions. I am running Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit on a new computer, i5-3570K, 2 TB HD, 8 GB RAM.

Unknown Component Using default product and component set in Parameters Unknown version " in product shotwell. Setting version to "!unspecified". Unknown milestone "unknown in product shotwell. Setting to default milestone for this product, "---". Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
