Shotwell icon in unity launcher panel does not show. I removed ~/.shotwell, re-imported photos and it was there for a while, but now (in 30-40 minutes) it disappears again.
Shotwell 0.12.2 from Ubuntu 12.04 with latest updates.

Does this only happen for you in Shotwell? This happens to me from time to time with all apps.

Yeah, it happens sometimes to other apps, but log out/ log in helps. But with shotwell it happens stable enough. Ok, maybe I should go to unity devs and try to figure if it's shotwell-specific bug.

- Status changed from Open to 5
- Resolution set to invalid
If this sometimes happens with other applications then this is not a Shotwell bug. Closing.

Just for curious ones https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bamf/+bug/995916
In short: problem can be fixed by going to Software Center -> software sources -> updates tab -> enabling precise-proposed. I believe fix should appear in official updates later some time.
