Original description:
Trying to import photos from my camera (Canon EOS 5D), Shotwell locks up and uses 100% CPU thus bringing the computer to a crawl until killed. This happens both with the Ubuntu 12.04 version and software built from latest source.
Steps to reproduce:
- Connect the camera to the computer and switch it on,
2a. If Shotwell starts automatically, it attempts to access the camera and locks up at that point,
2b. If Shotwell doesn't start automatically, start it,
- Select the import page: Shotwell locks up.
Output from the logs:

- Priority changed from Normal to High
- Target version set to 0.13
That sounds pretty bad. We may not be able to reproduce this here at Yorba since we don't have an EOS 5D. Bruno, could you debug a bit to try to figure out why this is occurring?

Of course, I'll do that when I have a bit of time. I just wanted to file the bug first :-)

Right, I did a bit of digging around and it appears that the issue is with libgphoto or with my camera so I'm closing this bug.
