Original description:
Debian testing (currently shotwell 0.12.3, kde 4.8.4, gnome 3.4.1), if I start shotwell with a camera attached via USB, the camera does not immediately appear in shotwell's left pane as an attached mass storage device. Running under GNOME, camera does immediately appear. Under KDE if I navigate to the mass storage device that is the camera from within the shotwell file/folder chooser, the camera then appears in shotwell's left pane. It'd be nice if it appeared automatically without such intervention when running under KDE, same as it does when running under GNOME.
