Original description:
I have been using Shotwell successfully in Ubuntu 10.10.
I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10 containg Shotwell 0.11.6, and found that I no longer can use NFS-shares as library location.
The NFS-share is mounted correctly, readable and writable. Other applications can read and write the share without any problem. The share is visible from Shotwell.
However, when I select the NFS-location in Edit-Preferences-"Library Location" and press close, the library location is not saved. When re-open Edit- Preferences, not the share, but its parent-directory (that is /mnt) is selected as library location.
This makes Shotwell completely unusable for me, as I no longer can save any fotos to my NFS-share on my NAS.
The issue seems simular to http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/3221.

Update: I am able to select a directory inside the (for instance /mnt/Picture_Library/test) but not the share itself (i.e. /mnt/Picture_Library).
The question remains why does Shotwell not allow me to select /mnt/Picture_Libary as location for the libary...
