It's a quoting thing involving Pango, to whom the ampersand is the start of an HTML character entity. I'm sure Eric can take care of this in 30 minutes.

Dropping from 0.11 to make time for Eric & Lucas to concentrate on bigger issues. This will likely be an 0.11.1 thing.

Notice that the warning is coming from libdbusmenu. This looks to be a appmenu problem.
Clinton, please file a Launchpad ticket for this item and post a link to it here.
Also, Clinton: other than this warning, does this bug cause any problems with Shotwell? Does the menu item appear in the menu bar?

Waived on the grounds that it only happens in Natty with the global menu removed (per Canonical's own staff, it's an unsupported configuration).

For the record, I would like Unity without the global menu to be considered a supported configuration at Yorba. While I personally like Unity in general, I think the particular form of global menu that Ubuntu chose to implement (i.e. appearing only on mouseover) was a serious mistake and I don't want Shotwell's users to have to use the global menu. (As you probably know, I myself don't use it).
Nevertheless I think that this particuiar issue is so trivial (a console warning for a very unlikely tag name) that it's not worth fixing, so let's leave this closed. :)

This still occurs on Ubuntu Precise. I'm reopening this since other people have noticed these warnings. I think we should fix this sooner or later.

This may be an Ubuntu bug. If so, let's file a Launchpad ticket (or find an existing one) rather than working around it in Shotwell.
