Original description:
This enhancement is an idea to support multiple locations of library (root) folders.
Shotwell has got video support, so it becomes more a multimedia manager than photo manager only. Currently, Shotwell imports all files from specified location (e.g. /home/mloskot/Pictures).
Some users, including me, may wish to store different types of media files in different locations. For example
- photo in /home/mloskot/Pictures
- videos in /home/mloskot/Videos
Perhaps, it would be possible to make Shotwell accepting multiple locations of photos/videos. For example, in Preferences, it could be specified as comma- separated paths
/home/mloskot/Pictures,/home/mloskot/Videos

I think this is pretty much a duplicate of #2697 (and, possibly, #3449). Feel free to add additional comments to those tickets.

Adam, thanks for pointing that. Honestly, I have scanned the tickets for “pathâ€, “locationâ€, “folder†trying to find anything related to this idea. Nothing came up.
