Original description:
When choosing action “Move to trash†on a photo, I expect the photo to be
removed for the photo directory but actually the photo is just removed from the
library.
I checked I have the required permissions on the folder containing the photo and on the file itself.
Launching Shotwell using terminal didn't report any error when trying to remove the photo.
There after I thought the .Trash directory for the separate /share partition, but after creating it, the problem didn't disappeared.
Version: 0.10.1
Distribution: Fedora 15

Currently, this is the expected behavior.
Unifying Shotwell trash with Gnome trash is a duplicate of #2645 (closed)

So I guess the temporary workaround is to change the label less misleading, “Remove from Libraryâ€, it is quick.

Shotwell already has a separate command “Remove from Libraryâ€, which is not the same thing. Shotwell's Move to Trash command moves a photo to the Shotwell trash. You can see all photos in the Shotwell trash by clicking the Trash item in the sidebar.
Perhaps you feel that there should be no separate Shotwell trash, and that Shotwell should simply use the GNOME trash instead. If so, this is a duplicate of #2645 (closed) as Eric pointed out.
