Selection does not advance to next image after deletion

Original description:
After deleting an image, if the cursor arrow is used, the next image is not selected. Instead, it jumps to the very first image in the library. What should happen is that after deleting an image the next image in line should be selected.
Steps:
select any image besides the first image (see A in attachment)
delete that image
press forward arrow – the selection jumps to the first image in the library (see B in attachment) instead of advancing to the next image in sequence (see C in attachment)
Happens every time.

Setting to default milestone for this product, "---". Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
