I wanted to print 4 pictures on one page, the first one is in portrait mode, the rest in landscape. Now the last three pictures are printed too small, since they are not rotated.
It would be nice if all pictures would be rotated so that they fit best.

I completely agree. This also makes printing multiple photos (a very common use case in my house) nearly impossible, as you can only print those photos with the same orientation.

I'm glad to see this requested already - as it's something I'm used to from Aperture on Mac (recent switcher to linux here) - this would be very helpful as my wife and I print loads of photos for gifts around Christmas time.
