Original description:
I have three machines that look at the same shared pictures over the network. I am using Shotwell 0.9.2 on Natty Narwhal.
In an ideal world, this collection would look the same on all of the machines.
There is already a ticket for a Shotwell Server:
http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/1572
In the meantime, the main thing that doesn't get copied across by the “Metadata written to files†option is the Event information for each file. It would be great if we could find some EXIF tag to put the Event name in, so that these persist without a Shotwell database. The advantages of this are not only my use-case, but also for moving to different programs or backing up files but not the database.
Ideally this would be some generic “Albumâ€-style tag, but I can't see one that suits.
