Now that we can print multiple photos at once (#1188 (closed)), it can take quite a bit of time to prepare the print job. The UI thread is hung through most of it and the user doesn't know what is going on. A progress bar would help here.
Don't know if this can make it in to 0.9 (is it a bug or a feature?), but would nicely top off our new printing features.

Progress bar now displayed while preparing the print job. The Cancel button on the dialog will cancel the print operation.
There's still a slight lag with the UI while the job is being prepared, indicated by moving the progress bar and the window not drawing. The only way to get around that would be to load and scale the pixbufs in a background thread, which is ticketed separately: #3258 (closed).
