Original description:
Middle button drag on zoom slider does just the same, as left button drag. I would suggest to use it for 1:1 zoom level on click instead. And since right- click on slider is also unused, it could make the photo fit to the window.
Is it sound?

I'd be a bit reluctant to use the right click in this way, since right clicking opens up a context menu everywhere else in GNOME (and we might conceivably want the zoom slider to have a context menu someday). I think that using the middle button as you suggested might be OK. We could also consider Control+Click or Shift+Click for these purposes.

Using Control or Shift modifiers is a little less useful, since then you have Ctrl+0 and other shortcuts at hand anyway, but I don't think it would hurt, but there should be consistency, at least inside the application, in how the modifiers are used.
