Searchable id: yorba-bug-3146
Original author: Adam Dingle
Original description:
To see the problem:
Open a photo in full-window mode. (It's slightly easier to see the behavior described here if the photo is relatively dark.)
Press Crop.
Grab the lower-right corner of the crop rectangle and drag it first to the upper left, then to the lower right.
As you drag to the lower right, you'll see a trail of white pixels across the image. The pixels vanish once you release the mouse button. This is new behavior with our recent move to drawing with Cairo.

I was wrong about this – it does seem to be happening in Compiz with 100%
reproducibility. What is interesting, though, and this tripped me up
initially, is that it will <del>
only</del>
happen if the user grabs the box
from the lower right or if the user drags the box around, and even then, the
artifacting seems to emanate from the lower right corner.
Presumably, there's some kind of dirty rectangling happening behind the scenes, and it's leaving behind snippets of the old rectangle.
Investigating now.
