Original author: Adam Dingle
Original description:
In the pending search toolbar patch (see#3100), one of the buttons opens a menu which the user can use to select a rating filter. Since the search toolbar has plenty of horizontal space, it would be nice to eliminate the menu and display 5 stars on the toolbar itself which the user can click to set the filter level.

I agree on this one, but I think the vertical menu should not disappear either.
There are a lot of other useful options in the menu, too many to put in the horizontal menu all of them.
I would like to suggest some other options in the vertical menu: just 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 stars. So not 1+, 2+ etc..
Ctrl-Shift-[1-5], or Ctrl-Alt-[1-5] would be some nice hotkeys!
I needed this functionality a few times, but my wife asked for it too tonight :)
