Original description:
Now that we have mixed media views, the Slideshow and Play View menu items are now using the same icon. We should probably make them different. If we remove the Slideshow toolbar button (#2755 (closed)) then we could simply remove the Slideshow icon altogether until we find/make one for it.

Right. Another issue: I'm not sure that the Photos menu is the right home for Play Video – perhaps it belongs in the View menu. If we put it there, though, then both View->Slideshow and View->Play Video will have the same menu icon (for the enlightened among us who have enabled icons in menus).

I simply removed the Play icon from the Slideshow action. If we want a new icon for Slideshow, we should open another ticket.

Actually, I don't quite see – in Shotwell today, is there some place where Slideshow and Play Video could appear in the same menu or on the same toolbar? If not, I might still be OK with having them use the same green triangle icon.

No, not the same menu, but in the Videos page the Play Video toolbar button is present.
It's not a huge deal, but I find using the same icon for two very different operations unappealing.

Sure. I had thought that perhaps other GNOME applications also use the green triangle for slideshows, but that appears not to be the case – for example, Eye of GNOME has its own slideshow icon (to see it, choose Edit->Toolbar in Eye of GNOME).
