Select all doesn't work when Shotwell first is launched

Original description:
- Start Shotwell
- Hit control-A on your keyboard
- Note that nothing is selected
- Also note that “Select All†is greyed out in the Edit menu
Once you either click on a photo or select something other than Photos in the sidebar, select-all is enabled.
