1 Verify that no removable media icons are present on the desktop.
2 Insert a media card into the reader.
3 etc.
Just after inserting media card, a pop-up window come up asking the application to launch.
Selecting shotwell, an error message appear (see screenshot).

I can reproduce this easily. The user can recover by clicking the card in the sidebar; then photos are immediately available. But, still, this is not a great user experience.
Upping to release; there's not much time left but we should discuss whether there might be an easy fix.

I see this behavior on both Lucid and Maverick. It occurs only with cards, not when attaching a camera.

Unknown Component Using default product and component set in Parameters Unknown version " in product shotwell. Setting version to "!unspecified". Unknown milestone "unknown in product shotwell. Setting to default milestone for this product, "---". Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
Resolution: RESOLVED FIXED
