Received the message Unrecognized User Picasa Web Albums didn't recognize the email address and password your entered. To Try again, re-enter your email address and password below.
While I tried this on Ubuntu 10.10 I've tried at work running Ubuntu 10.04 with the same results. If it helps I can successfully upload to Picasa Web Albums through F-Spot.
Let me know if you need more info. I would've run debug with shotwell but I wasn't able to find out how and running shotwell in the terminal doesn't provide any details either.
Regards,
Jimmy

In addition I wanted to mention that I've since successfully published photos to Flickr. I had to create a new account but did it none the less.

Jimmy,
thanks for the bug report. We've had a few similar reports from other users. Does your password contain any unusual characters (i.e. other than A-Z, a-z, 0-9)? If so, could you change the password to contain only letters/numbers and see if the problem still occurs?

In particular, does your password contain a '+' character? If so, then this is a duplicate of#2533.

Adam,
My password does contain a '+' character. I really don't want to change my password right now. I can tell you that I use the same password for my Flickr account and successfully publish to web. I've reviewed the applicable bug reports here and in LP and I see that this might be added to the next release. I'll keep an eye out for the changes and upgrade when applied.
Would you like to close this bug report or leave it open until the bug is fixed for me?
Also, should I be reporting bugs for Shotwell here or in LP?
Regards,
Jimmy

Aha – so this is indeed a duplicate. I'l close this. You can subscribe to #2533 (closed) you want to watch progress on the fix. No promises, but I think there's a good chance we'll be able to solve this for 0.7.2 (hopefully coming later this week).
The Shotwell developers are most aware of this bug tracking system so this is probably the best place to report bugs, though Launchpad works for us too. Thanks!
