can't import from NTFS partition

it's impossible to import from a directory that is on a NTFS HDD part,
I click import from folder,
chose my folder in my data NTFS partition,
Chose creates links,
then i have a Input/output error, and a 2nd error message:

1 photo failed to import due to a file or hardware error:

"

tried on ubuntu 10.10's bundled version 0.7.2 and the current trunk with the ntfs-3g driver but couldn't reproduce your bug.
i then wanted to check with the old read-only kernel module (in case you were using that one) but it seems you can't have that in ubuntu anymore.. i doubt that you were indeed using the old kernel driver – would you mind confirming this?

Andreas couldn't reproduce this and the original reporter never responded to Andreas's question, so I'm marking this as worksforme. We can reopen if the original reporter comes back with information that will help us reproduce this.
