Original description:
On Ubuntu 10.10 beta as of 9/27, each time I switch to a new Shotwell sidebar item the menu bar flashes on and off. This only happens the first time I switch to a given sidebar item; on each subsequent visit the menu bar remains visible. The flashing causes no loss of functionality to the user, but it is distracting.
Perhaps this is related to Ubuntu's recent global menu shenanigans, even though I'm seeing this behavior on the normal (non-Unity) desktop.
