Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/2617
Searchable id: yorba-bug-2617
Original author: Vera Yin
Original description:
To see the problem:
-
Create a new user account.
-
For the first time logging in, select 'Ubuntu Netbook Edition'.
-
Launch Shotwell from the Applications menu.
-
Select File->Import From Folder. Choose a folder for which the user does not have read permissions.
About half the time, the Import progress bar will start and hang.
After logging out and logging back in to a Unity session, importing from a permissions-inaccessible folder yields the expected error message:
1 photo failed to import due to a file or hardware error: /home/user/path

Good catch, but this is obscure and Unity-specific enough that I don't it needs to be on Yorba's radar at this time. Marking as wontfix. If anyone out there notices, we can reopen.
