One of Charline Poirier's testers indicated he couldn't figure out how to import files (instead of folders) in Shotwell. A user has requested this as well:

Don't know if we need to make this a separate menu option (which sounds confusing to me) or make Import From Folder… also allow the user to select files.

Although drag-and-drop from Nautilus solves this problem, we've learned that users often appreciate being able to do things through the menu system. We'll try and get this in 0.15.
