removing photos while importing causes abort

To see the problem:

Start Shotwell with an empty library.

Drag in a folder containing at least a few hundred photos. Shotwell will prompt whether to copy or link the photos as they are imported. Choose Create Links.

As the import is proceeding, go to the Photos view and Choose Edit->Select All to select all the photos which have been imported so far.

Choose Edit->Remove From Library. In the resulting dialog, choose Only Remove.
Shotwell will abort:
ERROR:Event.vala:341:event_is_in_starting_day: assertion failed: (data_collection_get_count (DATA_COLLECTION (self->priv->view)) > 0)

Unknown Component Using default product and component set in Parameters Unknown version " in product shotwell. Setting version to "!unspecified". Unknown milestone "unknown in product shotwell. Setting to default milestone for this product, "---". Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
Resolution: RESOLVED FIXED
