It would be nice if I could press a single letter key to apply a tag to a photo, e.g. 'p' for 'party'. As a first implementation, we could allow a single letter to apply a tag automatically if there is only one tag that begins with that letter. A more sophisticated implementation would allow the user to customize the shortcut letter used for each tag.

As an alternate way of implementing this, a user suggested that typing any letter could simply pop up the Add Tag window automatically; then there would be no need to type Ctrl+T.
