Some ideas:
- define variables/stuff that a static html template needs to implement
- like $photo, $number_of_photos
should later also support videos
create thumbnail page according to a x * y specification
- create multiple pages, if necessary
add “back link†or “custom areaâ€
- so users can generate many galleries, but have all of them a link back to the main site
copy (resized) version of photos to destination directory
provide sample template, so developers can create their own templates by copying existing one
add “slideshow†capability to sample template
support for “image site†would be something for version 2:
- support for generating multiple albums and have them linked together from a mainpage
Tools like llgal, gallery, etc. do a good job, but they lack the graphical selection possibility. Probably one very easy way would be to instrument those third party tools similar to picasa and flickr, so one gets the advantages of both tools.
