We plan to export in IPTC and XMP format. I'm hopeful that most photo programs will be able to read at least one of these formats.

Need to confirm which XMP tags F-Spot and Digikam are using.
Ticket #1871 (closed) should sort this out hopefully

At the same time we should write our software name and version into the metadata when exporting (that was #1880 (closed), but let's just roll that ticket into this one).

Unknown Component Using default product and component set in Parameters Unknown version " in product shotwell. Setting version to "!unspecified". Unknown milestone "unknown in product shotwell. Setting to default milestone for this product, "---". Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
Resolution: RESOLVED FIXED
