‘cannot open source to write’ when importing, but number is imported anyway
I import music files from another account on the same computer. I choose the option ‘Copy files that are not in the music library’. In my settings, I have FLAC as preferred format.
I get the following cryptic message:
Error when converting track Cannot open source to write.
There is enough disk space available, all tracks I am importing are readable, as are the directories they’re in.
This seems to happen only when importing flac-files, but not every time. ogg or mp3 give no errors. I cannot get my finger behind what is special about those files. Shall I attach one that crashes?
Unsure whether the following is related or another bug:
From time to time the program crashes altogether, this seems to happen when the last file of the directory has been imported.
(After a restart, the files in that directory are not in the music library: I go to the import function, and it checks my music library itself, those files are shown as to be imported. (Along with all files that have been imported before the crash, also from other directories.) Probably related: If I try to import files that I have just imported and are already in the collection (I checked in the overview, they are shown as new once again.)
Finally, strange behavior: if ‘copy files’ is not selected, the program jumps back to the overview pane once you click ‘import’; if it is selected, it remains on the import pane.
