Description
I have some musics that include korean characters or some other asian characters (e.g. katakana/hiragana(japanese characters)) in artist/album name. For example when I switch among artist names that start from korean character like "초난강", "이수영" and "조용필", rhythmbox can't change its bottom list that should change accordingly with selection of artist/album name but just freeze until I select other artist name like "Ellen McLain". This problem also appears switching between album name that start from katakana character like "プチノネ" and "ハネノネ". switching artist name among like "Ellen McLain", "Eugene Pottier" and "Josh Woodward" works well, but as I mentioned above, only some utf-8 character including names don't works well.
My locale is entirely en_US.UTF-8. I tested this bug in the locale of ja_JP.UTF-8 but same result. But when I execute the rhythmbox
LC_ALL=C rhythmbox
then the problem that I mentioned above disappears. So I think that the problem comes from the sorting function's dependency of locale.
I love Gnome and rhythmbox. I hope that this bug will be fixed soon. Thanks for reading.
