Games shouldn't need many preferences.
many of them could instead be used to improve gameplay and be better implemented as different challenges.
I do not think the rotation direction falls into that category though, particularly give the way it is currently provided as one or the other rather than an option between adding one or both.
The classic Gameboy teris used the A and B buttons for rotation each rotating a block in a different direction. I think instead of an option it would be better to have seperate keys for Rotate Right (90 degrees clockwise) and Rotate Left (90 degrees anticlockwise).
