i have a number of pictures and video's i'm putting together. the total number of mp4 clips is 17 and the total number of jpg's is 303. i haven't decided which i will keep yet fully. i did a test render of an avi format. It runs for a while and eventually comes up with this error:
Could not open file "/home/mark/epworth/ordering.004/40018800.jpg" for reading.
gstfilesrc.c(513): gst_file_src_start (): /pitivi+utils+pipeline+Pipeline:pitivi+utils+pipeline+pipeline0/GESTimeline:gestimeline0/GESVideoTrack:gesvideotrack0/GnlComposition:gnlcomposition0/GnlSource:gnlsource158/GstBin:videosrcbin/GstBin:still-image-bin/GstURIDecodeBin:uridecodebin159/GstFileSrc:source:
system error: Too many open files
i checked and this file is 187 in the bunch and that definitely seems like it's bumping up against the available number of file descriptors for a user.
the question is why do all of the objects need to be open at the same time?
