Description
Recently purchased a Sony HDR-CX580V which records in AVCHD. (.MTS files.). I read on the site that PiTiVi doesn't currently support this format. I followed the instructions on this page:
http://pitivi.org/manual/importingmpegts.html
to create MP4 files.
When I tried to import these files into PiTiVi I get an error message:
URI:/home/calvin/Desktop/vids/00000.mp4
Problem:Timeout while analyzing file.
Extra information:Analyzing the file took too long.
The file is only a few seconds long and is less than 20Mb in size.
Not sure what to do. I'm new to the world of video editing so I'm not familiar with all the different file formats. But I'm happy to convert the files into a different format to be able to work with them. Just not sure which one to use.
I had a windows program that converted the files to swf files. The swf files imported no problem, but they are very low resolution. So that's not practical for my needs.
