win32: weird character spacing jumps with 1.44.0

1.43 vs 1.44 (pangowin32 backend)

Best to open in a new tab and cycle between them to see the difference:

Old:

lorem_old

New:

lorem_new

In general the spacing is the same, but sometimes a whole block of characters is shifted to the left/right by one pixel. And it doesn't depend on the character used but on the position in the line somehow:

Old (consistent spacing):

spacing_old

New (some bigger spaces and character overlap):

spacing_new
