Description
Hello
As reported by a Debian user in bug #851450 [1], pan crashes on start if gpg2 is not found:
$ pan GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name news.pan.NZB was not provided by any .service files sh: gpg2: command not found Erreur de segmentation
On Debian, gpg2 command is phased out in favor of gpg so pan should search for gpg instead of gpg2 (I don't know if this is applicable to other distro).
In any case, I think that:
- pan should not segfault if this command is not found
- Dependency on gpg should be optional
- gpg dependency (optional or not) should be mentioned in README file.
On Debian side, I'll patch pan to require gpg and add a dependency on gnupg
All the best
