Long-time problem with header-pane showing Bytes column too-far right.

Description
The age-old problem of my Pan header pane where the right-most column ('Bytes' in this case) is off to the right too much when I first start Pan. Remembering this, I believe this column is always too-far right around the (calculated) width of the scroll column there. Or similar to that, anyway.
I can 'fix' this by manually adjusting the Bytes column: I must scroll the entire headers column view to the right and then ooching the Bytes column towards the left until the header scroll bar disappears.
Or I can 'fix' this when the Pan task is Quit entirely, then editing the preferences.xml file, the int field named header-pane-bytes-column-width making it a bit thinner than shown.
But later, adjusting it either way, when Pan is started and Quit again, this field has been increased wrongly without my touching anything there.
(FWIW, I disable only the 'Score' column in the settings for Edit -> Preferences -> Headers, thus making 'Bytes' my last/lowest column there.)
