Orca does not announce current inputs on html5 date and time input types on chrome
Orca announces Please Enter a date, please enter a date month spin button
, without announcing the current value on key arrow up and down for the following inputs:
<div>
<label for="number">Please enter a number</label>
<input id="number" type="number"></input>
</div>
<div>
<label for="date">Please enter a date</label>
<input id="date" type="date"></input>
</div>
<div>
<label for="time">Please enter time</label>
<input id="time" type="time"></input>
</div>
The current value is properly announced for type=number
(and other html5 input types I tested). The problem lies with date
, time
and datetime-local
input types (similar behavior when the focus is on day, month or year).
Expected behavior: Orca announces current value on focus and anytime the value changes
It works as expected on firefox.
