Always show pathbar background - no more transformation when resizing

António Fernandes requested to merge 907-graphical-issues-with-updated-path-bar into master

The transformation has been causing highly visible glitches in 3.32, as seen in #907 (closed) and its multiple duplicates.

In june, this was discussed on IRC at #nautilus. There was a general feeling that the transformation was not worth it. At that time, @aday has provided the following mockup, which is used as guidance for this merge request:
