Support Dconf setting for nautilus-open-terminal
I'm not totally sure where to file this, since the only upstream I could find for the extension was an inactive GitHub repo, but I figured this would be a good place to start.
Use cases
- The current "Open in Terminal" extension is awesome for people who are power-users of the terminal (probably a lot of people using Gnome?) and also like the convenience of browsing around in a file manager. This would enhance the productivity of this feature by allowing one to open their favorite terminal emulator in just two clicks.
- Users who prefer another terminal emulator (Terminator, Xterm, Alacritty) could use this feature with their terminal of choice
- Would allow this functionality to exist on systems with fewer Gnome dependencies (though we all love Gnome).
Desired behavior
I would like some sort of switch, whether that be in preferences somewhere or even just in Dconf Editor where a user can change the terminal emulator launched by the context menu action "Open in terminal".
Benefits of the solution
See "Use Cases"
It mostly would just be a "nice to have", and it would potentially be easy to implement.
I would get to completely use Alacritty for all of my terminal emulator needs (Alacritty's really awesome, see https://github.com/jwilm/alacritty). On that project, it is considered a bug for Alacritty to be anything less than the fastest terminal emulator out there.
Possible drawbacks
Potentially further pollution of obscure Dconf Settings that allow hacks not exposed in the UI.
