SIGSEGV when going back to the same folder we are in.
Affected Version
- Version: 45.2.1
- Distribution: Fedora 39
- Also happens with development version: Yes
Steps to reproduce
- Open new nautilus session, it starts at the home folder.
- Ctrl+F and search for a item in the same folder as home.
- Right click the item and click on "Open Item Location".
- Click the back arrow.
- SIGSEGV
Expected Behavior
The back arrow shouldn't function since we didn't change the current directory.
Actual Behavior
The arrow says we can go back but then it SIGSEGV and aborts nautilus.
Additional Information
It only crashes if during the use of nautilus we didn't go to any other directory other than the one we start in.
If I opened a different folder with the terminal $ nautilus <insert folder here>
and repeated the steps only this time i search for a item in the <insert folder here>
it still crashes.
Here is what the console says for nautilus version 45.2.1:
><> nautilus
