Sometimes folders contents don't load (random occurrence)
Affected version
- Nightly flatpak: No / Can't test it because I don't use flatpacks and have old hardware I don't want to burden.
- Other: Debian 12, Files 43.2
Steps to reproduce
- Click on any folder in the Nautilus window with some files in it.
Current behavior
Sometimes the folder doesn't show any files (or subfolders) in it. Only after I click on an other folder and back to the previous folder it suddenly can quickly list the contents without any issues.
Expected behavior
The content of a folder gets listed reliably.
Additional information
I already encountered this phenomenon on Debain 10 and hoped it would not re-appear in the new version. Unfortunately, the behaviour is hard to test because it occurs randomly. It doesn't matter if I attempt to open external or local folders. It might show the list after waiting for about a minute or so but it isn't related to the amount of files and folders contained or to the kind of files in the folder. It can also happen to local folders just containing a hand full of small plain text files. Neither permissions seem to be a factor. (I haven't encountered such behaviour with the PCFM file browser on Debian using LXDE.)
